Catalan University Libraries Erasmus Staff Week 2026

June 15-19, 2026, Barcelona. The 2026 Catalan University Libraries Erasmus Staff Week is a 5-days of lectures and discussions to collaborate and exchange experiences in the field of Challenges in Teaching and Research Support Services.

Four of the largest university libraries of the Consortium of University Services of Catalonia (CSUC), the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), and the Universitat de Lleida (UdL), organize a 5-days of lectures and discussions from June 15-19, 2026, in Barcelona focused on the following main topic: Challenges in Teaching and Research Support Services:

  • Rethinking teaching and research support services
  • Understanding users’ changing needs
  • Empowering libraries and librarians in a changing environment

The second Catalan University Libraries Erasmus Staff Week is open to all staff members of our partner universities working in Library Services.

The event accepts up to 20 participants. The registration fee is 180 € per person which includes mid-morning snacks, daily lunches, one group dinner, and several interesting visits. 

The language of the Staff Training Week is English, so fluency in English (speaking, listening, reading, writing) is required.

Participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own accommodation and travel expenses. We encourage participants to apply for an Erasmus+ Mobility Grant through their home institution.

If you are interested in participating, please complete our online registration form, briefly describing your work tasks and the best practice example you intend to present, related to the themes of the Erasmus week.

Registration is open until 31 December 2025. Confirmation of selected and non-selected participants will be sent by 30 January 2026. Please do not make travel arrangements until your participation is confirmed.

Please note that submitting the pre-registration form does not guarantee acceptance. Also, be aware that the International Mobility Staff Week may be cancelled due to insufficient registrations or health-related concerns.

Hotel Accomodation

We strongly advise all participants to reserve their hotel accommodation as soon as possible. For their price and quality, we recommend accommodations in University residences in Barcelona or some hotels and aparthotels:
