Anella Científica

IPv4 and IPv6 Addresses

CSUC is an Internet service provider to the institutions of the Anella Científica, which is a local registry. In Europe, RIPE NCC acts as a regional registry, allocating smaller blocks of addresses to local registries. The local registries are responsible for allocating these addresses to their user organizations. In our case, these are the institutions connected to the Anella Científica.

We can supply IP addresses in the following ranges:

  • IPv4: 84.88.0.0/15
  • IPv6: 2001:40B0::/32

Because IPv4 addresses are limited, we recommend that institutions also request IPv6 addresses. The advantages of IPv6 over IPv4 include:

  • more address space
  • a simplified header
  • support for authentication and privacy functionality.

You can request IPv4 and IPv6 addresses by filling in the following form
