Joint Procurement

Electricity

Save up with the joint procurement of electricity from the CSUC. Together we get more economically attractive contracts and improve management.

Who is this service for?

Universities, scientific and technology parks, research centers and other public sector institutions rely on the joint procurement of electricity from the CSUC, in high and low voltage.

Benefits

Committed to sustainability sustainability and the environment, we buy 100% renewable electricity and save on supply so we can invest in energy efficiency. We improve energy contracting and management, facilitating consumption control and analysis. With the collaborative procurement of the CSUC we also encourage the transfer of knowledge, talent and experience between all members of the purchasing group. We are backed by a trajectory with significant savings achieved and the satisfaction of having achieved them together.

Exchange of best practices to reduce consumption

Aggregation of supply points, price optimization, power reduction, etc.

Sustainability and energy efficiency

Energy from 100% renewable sources. Less consumption, less spending and less emissions.

Invoice validation and data analysis

Monitoring of invoicing and consumption through specialized tools in the validation of invoices, in the preparation of energy reports and the optimization of power.

More power

Joint dialogue on commercialization, distributors and regulatory bodies before and during the execution of the contract.

Benchmarks

Prices benchmarks, expenses and consumption of participants and other external buyers according to the type of consumption.

Specialization and professionalization

We study the electricity sector and markets.

Comparison pricing

Collaboration with other large purchasers and managers, both public and private.

Strategic decision making

Follow-up of the electricity market on the decision-making of closing future prices.

Type of agreement

For the purchase of electricity, the CSUC develops dynamic acquisition systems for which specific contracts are made with electronic auctions. Once the coefficients of formulas for variable price and closures have been awarded, the CSUC closes with the winning company when it detects an opportunity in the market. In a market of highly volatile prices, this system allows a lot of flexibility when choosing the most opportune moment to close the prices.

For high voltage, the purchase of energy is made at a variable price in the OMIE market by tendering the commercialization margin (pass-through). The purchase model provides for the possibility of making closures in the OMIP future market, also bidding for the coefficients of the closing formula. This model is managed with very high accuracy that minimizes risk by diversifying the time of purchase and not concentrating it in a single moment.

For low voltage it is auctioned at a fixed price.
